To become a member country&region

1. Attendance of two representatives and one organizer at the annual world championship held in Japan on the first weekend of August.
2. Ability to cover travel expenses for three individuals (two representatives and one organizer) from one’s own country&region to Japan.
3. Hosting of regional qualifiers and final selection tournaments by the end of May each year to determine representatives.
4. For first-time member countries&regions, the invitation of one WCS staff member for inspection at the qualifying tournaments is required for three consecutive years.
5. Payment of an annual membership fee of ¥330,000.
6. Creation of an original WCS logo for each country&region (logo format provided).

WCS Membership: Contract Period

There are two types of contracts: fixed-term contracts and annual contracts.

Fixed-Term Contract
Countries&regions entering into a contract from a designated year enter into a fixed-term contract for three years.

Annual Contract
New member countries&regions are recruited annually, but the contract period aligns with the end of the fixed-term contract, resulting in either a two-year or one-year contract.

Recruitment begins annually from June.

Schedule until Decision

• Application Period: Annually from June to September (scheduled)
• First Screening: Annually from September to November (scheduled)
• Second Screening: Annually from September to December (scheduled)
• Decision: Determined in January of the following year
