The WCS team cooperated with the “Japan Pop Culture Festival 2025” in Mongolia.

On April 13, 2025, the “Japan Pop Culture Festival 2025” was held at the GOLDEN SUN Event Hall in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

This annual festival gathers a large number of Japanese pop culture enthusiasts from across Mongolia and features a variety of programs, including anime song contests and manga competitions. At the opening ceremony, H.E. Mr. Masaru Igawahara, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia, delivered a warm message to local fans of Japanese culture.

 

 

 

 

 

WCS Champions Take the Stage with an Impressive Performance

From Japan, Mr. Tokumaru Oguri, Representative of the World Cosplay Summit Executive Committee, along with the 2024 WCS Champion Pair (Japan), participated in the event. The champions gave a spectacular cosplay performance on stage.

Their powerful performance captivated the audience. For many young pop culture fans in Mongolia, it was a rare and exciting opportunity to witness world-class cosplay live and up close.

 

 

 

Mongolia’s Representatives Selected for WCS2025

A cosplay contest was also held during the festival, and the winning pair was granted the right to represent Mongolia at the WCS 2025 Championship, scheduled to be held in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan in the summer of 2025.
